A brand new carbon composite plate is co-moulded with our Sensor rubber outsole for a permanent bond, combined with a lightweight and even more comfortable Teijin® Evofiber™ upper.

The Empire XC builds on past successes while keeping the elements that have won over gravel riders and XC racers. We've chosen a softer Teijin microfiber upper that hugs the foot like a glove without ever being too tight. Our new co-moulded carbon composite and Sensor rubber outsole provides optimal grip for daily use, efficient power transfer to the pedal, and exceptional durability. Reliable and easily replaceable laces allow you to fully customise your fit, while our Supernatural™ insole kit offers three levels of arch support. SENSOR™ RUBBER - The exclusive rubber formula from Giro maximises grip and durability without sacrificing lightweight. The rubber outsole is co-moulded with the carbon composite plate for a permanent bond, without glue.

SUPERNATURAL FIT SYSTEM - Our Supernatural Fit System includes an insole and an adjustable arch support with three inserts: Low, Medium, and High. Adjust the arch support to improve comfort and pedalling efficiency while reducing the risk of common discomforts such as numbness, pressure points, and cramps.

CO-MOULDED CARBON COMPOSITE PLATE - Designed by Giro to provide optimal stiffness with flexibility at the front of the foot suitable for carrying, without compromising on power transfer. The carbon plate is co-moulded with the Sensor rubber for a permanent bond, without glue.
