Stan unveiled the dual-action repair tool for tubeless (DART) in 2019, marking the arrival of the first repair plug specifically designed for tubeless bike tyres, rather than a scaled-down version of what was available in the automotive and motorcycling worlds. Subsequent improvements led to the re-release of the tool under the name Original DART Tool in 2025, introducing a stainless steel insertion stem alongside an improved DART developed during the first tool's lifespan. Using a laser-cut flexible material, the DART adapts to non-uniform puncture shapes caused by the jagged and sharp edges of debris and obstacles encountered on trails, roads, and paths. Treated with a reactive solution, the DART bonds with the liquid sealant inside a tubeless tyre to form both a chemical and mechanical seal that permanently closes a puncture too large for the tubeless sealant to repair on its own. Complete with two DARTs, the tool weighs only 15 grams and fits comfortably into any small bag pocket. For added convenience, the base of the moulded plastic tool body is equipped with a Presta valve core remover to make it easier to refill the sealant in the field with a 60 ml or 120 ml bottle of Stan's Original Tubeless Sealant.
