S7806 LLB 2RS-36 - Angular contact bearing, made of stainless steel, steering bearing with a 36-degree internal chamfer - - 10mm x 42mm x 7mm - Angular contact bearing with rings and balls made from 440C stainless steel alloy, filled with 90% high-pressure grease and sealed for maximum corrosion resistance. Not all stainless steels are the same. - Enduro uses only 440C stainless steel balls and rings to ensure a long lifespan and superior corrosion resistance in applications and environments that may be less than ideal. 440C has the highest strength, hardness, and wear resistance of all standard 440 series stainless steel alloys with a high carbon content. As expected, it is also the most expensive of the 440 series alloys and requires several heat treatment and cryogenic processes to achieve its superior mechanical properties. Although stainless steel has a 20% lower load capacity and is slightly softer than our 52100 chrome steel used in most of our bearings, stainless steel is an excellent alternative for use in wet conditions, if you often wash your bike, or where sweat may be an issue. The most common use for this bearing is as a direct replacement bearing for BB30, PF30, BB386 and most other bottom brackets with a 30mm axle. The Enduro bearing range is available in high carbon chrome steel, 440C stainless steel, hybrid ceramic and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless steel balls. Our bearings are always designed with the deepest grooves possible to accommodate the largest balls and feature double lip seals that fit into a micro-groove creating a complete labyrinth to provide superior protection against the elements.
