Giro Headset Radix MIPS Shadow

The Radix™ Mips® helmet combines rugged style and durability to meet the demands of trail cyclists, providing the coverage, lightweight design, and ventilation that cyclists need to ride comfortably and confidently all day long.

INTEGRATED MIPS® SYSTEM FOR BRAIN PROTECTION - All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible while exceeding the strictest safety standards. The aim of Giro helmets equipped with the Integrated Mips® system is to reduce rotational forces while improving fit and comfort by combining the Mips slip plane with the helmet's adjustment system. Giro believes that helmets with this technology can lessen the rotational force that may be transferred to the cyclist's brain during certain impacts. STIFF SHELL WITH MOLDING HARDBODY™ LOWER WRAP - The two-part shell combines a rigid, tough outer shell with a lower polycarbonate shell that is permanently fused to the liner for added durability without excess weight.

P.O.V. VISOR - Our P.O.V. visor features an adjustment mechanism that allows you to move it up and down in graduated steps. These steps include three riding positions plus a high position for placing glasses above your forehead. Its design allows you to easily adjust your visor with one hand while riding.

ROC LOC® 5 FIT SYSTEM - The industry standard for comfort, stability, adjustability, and weight reduction. In addition to enhancing the fit and comfort of helmets, Roc Loc® 5 allows you to easily adjust the tension of the fit and the fore/aft tilt of the helmet in seconds with one hand. It is also lighter than comparable systems, making it the ultimate in protection technology.

VENTILATION VIA "WIND TUNNEL" TECHNOLOGY - Giro helmets are developed using our exclusive "Wind Tunnel" ventilation system. This sophisticated design combines active vents in the helmet shell and internal exhaust channels that push fresh air over and around the cyclist's head while expelling heat and stale air outside. It’s the most effective cooling system on the market, and you can feel the difference with every pedal stroke.
